Nail Extensions & Enhancements

Not all nail technicians are the same  I can assure you.

Whether you want Gell, Acrillic, a simple silk wrap or repair, your nails will be treated with respect and you will be delighted with that individual touch which is Healing Hands.

I offer both gel and acrylic nail extensions for customers looking for extra length and strength for that special occasion or on a permanent basis.
They can also be a great quick fix for all you nail biters out there encouraging you to kick the habit.

My nail service will begin with a full consultation to make sure that you are getting exactly what you want and need. Choosing the right type of extension depending on:

• Your lifestyle usage of your hands
   
• Your own nails.
   
• The outcome and look that you want

The Treatment Procedure:

First your own nail is made slightly less smooth using a gentle file to ensure good adhesion.
I never use drills on natural nails unlike cheap nail bars, Drills do untold damage your natural nail plate making it thin & beyond repair & can make your nails extremely sensitive. This is why I provide a quality service which is priced as such, care and quality takes a little longer.

Your nail is treated to ensure that it is totally sanitary before the nail tip is applied. After the tip is applied it can then be trimmed to the desired length.

Then the process depends on if we are to use Gel or Acrylic.
 

What is the difference between Gel and Acrylic nails?

Gel Extensions:
give a super glossy finish to the nails and have a natural look. They will last up to 3 weeks and you will need to return to have them unfilled. This is done by buffing down the gel and applying fresh gel to the nails. If you would like to remove the gel, you will need to return to the salon and have these carefully buffed off by your technician.

Then they can be treated so they grow naturally, or even better you can pop a layer of shellac on them to ensure they stay strong and long

Acrylic Extensions:
Are the hardest wearing extensions so are great if you use your hands a lot or tend to break nails easily. These are also infilled after approx 2 – 3 weeks.
 If you want to remove the acrylics you will need to return to the salon to have these soaked off. Yet again because the nail plate is undamaged you can either have and oil manicure an grow them , or have a layer of shellac to keep them strong but natural.
