The father of all basic massage. The first massage that any therapist is taught and after years of experience is able to hue in to their own personal style.

A more vigorous and faster massage than Aromatherapy or Base oil massage, utilising techniques such as Hacking & Cupping  to stimulate and tone the muscles.

I can taylor this massage as with all my treatments to your individual need be it for relaxation, to ease stress and tension or concentrating on sights of sports injury, give bodily tone or dealing with fatigue.

You are about to experience a complete body massage without the interruption of having to turn over during the massage tretment.

Fully relaxed lying with your whole body beautifully supported by two “pillows” of warm water, kept at as a pleasurable 37 degrees, you remain face up throughout the entire treatment.

Your whole body is supported in perfect spinal alignment. The usual disruption of turning over just as you are completely relaxed, is avoided…only the sensation of floating and the feeling of warmth envelopes you. Can be utilised with or without aromatherapy

Particularly recommended for women in their 2^nd and 3^rd trimester of pregnancy, or anyone who may find it difficult in any way to turn over during a massage treatment due to infirmity.
But if you feel that the interruption of turning over in mid massage is just too much effort or you just love the idea of floating whilst feeling the healing power of touch well come experience the felling of Hydrotherm.

This ancient seated massage relaxes the muscles of the head, neck, shoulders and back reliving mental fatigue and stress.
Utilising massage, pressure points and chakra work tension and fatigue becomes a thing of the past.
IHM  can be carried out fully clothed if you wish, but I personally recommend the utilisation of a sarong or reversed gown enabling a deeper massage and the utilisation of oils to assist in relaxation. The Indian Head Treatment can  be carried out on chair or alternatively on a massage chair which I find clients prefer for deeper relaxation.

Derived from the Hopi Indians of North Arizona but traceable back to Egypt and the ancient Greeks, this un-invasive relaxing treatment can assist with many ear and sinus complaints.

The Ear Candle;  is not a candle as such but a hollow tube y made out of organically grown cotton flax, beeswax, extracts of honey and herbs. A constant high quality is ensured.

When the ear candle is placed in the ear and lit the slight sucking action referred to as the chimney effect draws any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed. The rising air inside the ear sets up a vibration which gently massages the ear drum. This can help to soften the wax and draw it up to the surface and can help equalise ear pressure. Most impurities or deposits carried away through the candle “chimney”, although some can be found in the lower section of the candle after removal from the ear. Some wax could even work its way to the surface 24-48 hours after.

(AFTER THE FIRST TRIMESTER) UTILISING VARIOUS TECHNIQUES: CHAIR MASSAGE, HYDROTHERM OR COUCH WITH AROMATHERAPY

The changes we experience during this amazing period in our lives are immense and exciting.
They can also be unnerving as our bodies become uncomfortable in preparation for one of life’s miracles.
Massage is the perfect way to lighten the mind body and soul and assist in the preparation.
Once you have your little bundle of heaven don’t forget yourself you will learn to give more than you ever thought possible but take time for you to gain something back and have some YOU TIME to alleviate the after birth stresses that can come with becoming a new mum.

BIRTH ATTENDANTS CAN ALSO BE ARRANGED; if I have treated the mother and had contact with the  father or birth supporter in the last trimester. This is essential in building a working relationship trust and enabling me to fully support both parties through this wondrous experience.
 
DON’T FORGET THE DADS; they may not like to show it but they take on a lot of stress during this period, they require support and relaxation too. Suggested treatments: Full No hands Massage or Aromatherapy for their support and well being before and after the birth.
